Volunteering taster sessions in October

This October The Food Chain will be offering a unique opportunity for potential volunteers to come and 'have a go' and see what we do. As part of the Media Trusts Skills for Volunteering campaign we will be promoting the opportunity for potential volunteers to come into a kitchen and see what we do.

The taster sessions will be on October the 21st and 28th and run from 9am - 11.30. Participants will find out more about what we do, why we do it and how they can enhance their skills by volunteering with us. Everyone will get the opportunity to help us put together some of the meals and other preparation work to help get the service out on time.

So if you have a friend who has been asking you about what we do, or know someone who just needs that nudge to get them volunteering, why not invite them to one of the sessions. there are 3 sessions in total in both Highbury and Bermondsey.
