Grocery Deliveries

Each of our grocery hampers provides a week’s worth of food for people who are in acute short-term need. Our Community Dietitian and team of dietetic volunteers tailor each hamper to meet the individual’s health and dietary requirements (as well as those of their dependents).

To access this service it is necessary to be referred to the service by a referrer.

Each week during the agreed service period, the Volunteer Dietetic Support Worker will call the service user to discuss the grocery order and arrange for it to be delivered by an online grocery provider, as well as offer tailored nutritional advice.

This service is often delivered in conjunction with one of our other services and we aim for service users to attend Eating Positively Classes where possible, so that they have the nutrition knowledge to compliment the grocery provision.
