Spring Office Picnic

The Spring Office Picnic is back with a twist for 2013!

Take a break from dining 'al desco!

Bring in a dish to share with colleagues and donate the £4.00 you would usually spend on lunch to The Food Chain.

On 30th March 2012, 18 companies took part, but this year you can set your own date in spring.

Why £4.00?

£4.00 can pay for the food in a hot lunch, dessert and light supper for someone living with HIV in London who is at risk of becoming malnourished.

What’s the twist for 2013?

We’ve decided there will be a window of three months in which you can hold your Spring Office Picnic for The Food Chain, from Friday 1st March until Friday 31st May! You and your colleagues can now share tasty, homemade dishes at your leisure throughout the spring. We also have a scrumptious treat or two in store for the team that donate the most money to The Food Chain as a result of donating their picnic provisions. All the prizes below have been kindly donated to The Food Chain in support of this fundraiser:

*The winner of the best photo award will be selected by vote.

How can my colleagues and I get involved?

All you need to do is set a date at work, encourage everyone to bring in a picnic dish to share and collect £4.00 from everyone who takes part. To make it really easy we have put together a pack of recipe ideas, posters, picnic games, information about The Food Chain and how to send the money you collect.

For any non office workers or those unable to have an office picnic, there is an option to participate as a ‘Virtual Picnicker’! Text MEAL25 £5 to 70070, then log your picnic on our map of people taking part.
