Description: THIS EVENT HAD BEEN POSTPONED. WE WILL RESCHEDULE FOR A FUTURE DATE. For the Food Chain’s first full venture into a totally plant based, zero waste dining, our inventive chef Helen Cleverley has devised an exciting Louisianan inspired menu for our next fundraising dinner on Thursday 26th March at 19:00. The menu focusses on seasonal, local and foraged ingredients using all parts of the plant and will be sourced using minimal plastic. Nothing will be wasted - any excess or leftovers will be used for the charity's meal services and any peelings donated to a local community garden for vegetable compost. The menu, which may change slightly on the day depending on the availability of ingredients, is cocktail canapés filled crispy baby potato skins; carrot salsa; spicy pea and potato cakes starter gumbo z’herbes. a Cajun classic soup made from a variety of greens, leaves and herbs served with Frenchies main Cajun cauliflower steak with succotash and sweet potato wedges dessert Chocolate, raspberry & honeycomb parfait, fizzy raspberry compote and berries Tickets £35 per person for four courses, includes a welcome cocktail.
