Food Chain Fundraising Event

Time: 19:00 - 23:00

Location: Kitchen @ Acorn House, Gray's Inn Road, London

Price: Free

Description: This year it’s going to be very special as we have Chef Jacob Kenedy who will be cooking a feast in the style of ol’ Louisiana Cajun and Creole food. Our patron Jay Rayner will be your host. Your ticket will include a welcome cocktail and 4 courses from the Deep South …think baked oysters, Cajun spiced quail, crawfish gumbo and classic sweet potato pie. Local boy Jacob was born in Islington and opened his first restaurant, Bocca Di Lupo, with business partner Victor Hugo in 2008 on Soho’s Archer Street. Bocca di Lupo soon became THE place to go, and it might have been the restaurant that started the small plate movement and rejuvenated Italian food in London. Gelupo, a traditional gelateria and delicatessen, located directly opposite Bocca di Lupo, followed in June 2010 and brought some much needed colour to Archer Street. Jacob opened Plaquemine Lock on the banks of Regent’s Canal in 2017 as his first professional digression from Italian food, and his first pub. It serves Cajun and Creole food from Louisiana alongside cocktails, British beers and fine wines. It has already been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2018 Michelin Guide. Our pop up fundraising supper evenings held in our kitchen have become extremely popular throughout this year and with Jacob in the kitchen and Jay as your host the evening promises to be very entertaining.
