The Food Chain depends totally on a dedicated, diverse and flexible volunteer force. With nearly 1000 volunteers we are delighted to give everyone who wishes to join us a very warm welcome. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, most work one Sunday a month but we offer volunteering opportunities to fit with almost every lifestyle.

We value the skills our volunteers bring and if you are an expert in something, from IT to translation into Ndebele, we would be pleased to know and have your help. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, open organisation and volunteers are encouraged to become as involved as they want. That may mean just doing the shift you have committed to or it may mean joining us at events, on committees and having fun at quiz nights and parties, it is up to you.
