our volunteers

The Food Chain has just 8 members of staff and over 850 volunteers who dedicate their time preparing and delivering meals, volunteering in the office or donating specialist skills such as design or web support.

We depend on a dedicated, diverse and flexible volunteer force.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Most work in one of our kitchens one Sunday a month, but we have roles to fit with most lifestyles.

Here are some of the volunteer roles that are in greatest need and you may be interested in:

Drivers and navigators

Once you know which role you wish to fill, complete an application form, once we have received your references you will be invited to a induction.
