If you are volunteering to work in one of our kitchens, one of the first decisions you'll want to make is which one. In practice, the choice usually makes itself. If you're a Kitchen Assistant, you'll need to be in place by 8:00 AM and let's face it, you are unlikely to want to get across London for that time on a Sunday morning!

Having said that, many of our wonderful volunteers do not have a Food Chain kitchen close to their home but still make the trek to one not too far away. We are very grateful to the local authorities who allow us to use these kitchens each Sunday, free of charge.

There are currently four Food Chain kitchens in action every Sunday, fifty-two weeks a year. As we borrow our kitchens we only include maps where we have been allowed to share the information, of course once you have attended induction and begin volunteering you will be given a map to your nearest kitchen.
