lead cooks

Lead Cooks plan the Sunday menus, do the necessary shopping on Friday or Saturday and organise cooking on the day. Most Lead Cooks begin volunteering with The Food Chain as Kitchen Helpers and receive extensive training before they lead their first Sunday team.

Please note that Food Hygiene Training is compulsory for anyone working in the kitchen and the Food Chain provides this for volunteers free of charge.
