We are very pleased that our grocery service is still running, and that we have been able to reopen our kitchen for Eating Together meals.
However, at The Food Chain we are facing a continued unprecedented demand for our services which means we have to be look closely at the situations of those who we take on board. The Food Chain is designed to provide temporary and immediate support to those facing acute nutritional crisis and food insecurity.
If you feel your referral meets this criteria and that our services will be beneficial, please include information about this in the referral form (in the free text field on stage 3 of the form which asks “Is there anything else you think we need to know about the person being referred?”) This will help the team make decisions and prioritise. We carefully review every person’s situation holistically and make decisions based on their individual circumstances.
