SUMMARY:The Food Chain Carol Service
DESCRIPTION:Get it in your diaries early! \nYou are warmly invited to join us for our annual Carol Service at St Paul’s Church\, Covent Garden on Tuesday 16th December 2025. An evening of celebration and reflection with guest readings and carols sung by the celebrated choir of St Paul’s. Mulled wine\, mince pies and cinnamon stars\, donated by artisan bakers\, Konditor\, will be available as usual on the night for a donation. \nImportant Update for 2025: \nThis year\, we are introducing a ticketed system for the Carol Service with a small cost attached. We have been very fortunate up to now to be able to keep the carol service free to all\, however it is a reflection of the times that we live in that funds are in short supply and costs of upkeep for the church are increasing. In order to keep our carol service going in such a lovely location and continue our wonderful partnership with St Paul’s church well in to the future\, from this year we will be charging £5 entry fee. Out of that fee: 15% (or 75p) per ticket goes towards supporting the church\, and the remaining £4.25 will go to The Food Chain. We understand that £5 is a big jump from previous years\, so we will hold some tickets in reserve and make these available for free for anyone who is unable to cover the entry fee. Please contact fundraising@foodchain.org.uk \nPlease book early as there will be no entry without a ticket: https://actorschurch.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873616576 \nAlways a beautiful occasion to celebrate the Christmas season with our extended family\, The Food Chain looks forward to welcoming you.

SUMMARY:UK AIDS Memorial Quilt Display at Tate Modern
DESCRIPTION:This June\, the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt will be displayed at Tate Modern! This is a dream come true for the partnership\, as we hope it means that the Quilts will reach their widest audience since their inaugural display in Hyde Park back in 1994. We’ll be taking over the iconic Turbine Hall for 5 whole days in June\, from Thursday 12th to Monday 16th inclusive.\n\n\n\nThe UK AIDS Memorial Quilt is an irreplaceable piece of social history. It tells the stories of many of those lost in the early days of the HIV AIDS epidemic in the 80’s and 90’s. In total there are 48 twelve foot by twelve foot panels\, each comprising up to 8 smaller panels. Each individual panel commemorates someone who died and has been lovingly made by their friends\, lovers or family.\n\nThe UK AIDS Memorial Quilt Partnership of HIV charities across the UK endeavours to display the quilts as often as possible in order to raise awareness of the quilt and its importance in our history. You can watch a short film about our 2021 London display here.\n\nThe display will be held in Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. The exhibition is free and open to all\, the building is fully accessible.\n\nWe hope to see you there!
