Dr Laura Waters

Biography

Laura Waters served on The Food Chain’s Board of Trustees from 2021 to 2025, when she took on the role of Executive Director in Global HIV Medical Affairs at Gilead Science. Keen to stay involved with The Food Chain, Laura kindly agreed to join our Medical Advisory Board. 

A doctor since 1998, Laura has extensive experience working in GU Medicine and was a HIV consultant at Mortimer Market for 13 years. She is also the founder of @peoplefirstcharter.org, and has Chaired the HIV Clinical Reference Group, British HIV Association (BHIVA) and British Association of Sexual Health & HIV (BASHH) Patient & Public Voice panel.

We are thrilled to be able to retain Laura’s specialised clinical expertise as she takes on this new role at Gilead Science.
