HOW YOUR COMPANY CAN SUPPORT LONDONERS LIVING WITH HIV

We have a history of building lasting partnerships with companies and finding creative ways to keep employees engaged with our vital work. We would love to hear from potential corporate partners who are interested in working with us.

Employee Fundraising

Have you thought about starting a bake off, initiating a wear red day or selling red ribbons in your office? Your company may even generously match the amount you will raise. We can supply materials and ideas to get you started.

Challenge Events

Sign up for a challenge event to take on as a team in support of The Food Chain! We can help organise your challenge event and provide you with regular support to help you reach your fundraising target.

food drives

How about arranging a food drive at your local supermarket? Along with Food Chain T shirts and publicity materials, we can provide lists of items for shoppers to donate. These donations will then go directly into the hands of our Service Users when they attend our in-person services such as Eating Together. Food drives for Christmas and school summer holiday times are particularly welcome!

Companies that have supported The Food Chain so far

Core Recruitment sponsored our Green Apple Dinners in 2011 and 2012, as well as our Annual Dinner in October 2015. Three Corecruitment employees bravely skydived from 10,000ft in spring 2014, raising over £1,000!

GS1 UK chose The Food Chain as their charity partner for three years between 2012 – 2015. In October of that year, they hosted an away day at our then new Acorn House kitchen, with all staff partaking in a cookery class and workshops run by The Food Chain.

They have also organised fundraising activities including a dress down Friday, a quiz and a cupcake cookery class. They provided The Food Chain with pro bono support around marketing and communications.

The GS1 team undertook a challenge of monumental proportions and cycled all the way to their Brussels office in 2013. The following year, they conquered the Three Peaks.

Lloyds We remain grateful to Andrew Mitchell for making an application on behalf of The Food Chain to the Lloyd’s Charities Trust for a Lloyd’s Market Charity Award.

There were over 70 applications from people like Andrew who work in the Lloyd’s of London market and also are volunteers for charities – out of those, the Trustees of the Lloyd’s Charities Trust made 30 awards of £2,000, including one for The Food Chain.

Andrew says: “I was delighted to be able to assist the Food Chain with this award, and hope that it helps put the finishing touches to the fabulous new Kings Cross kitchen.”

Out@Time Warner organised a number of fundraising events in 2011 to support our kitchen appeal, and held a number of film showings at their London offices in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Lots of the team volunteer in our kitchen too, not only to support our services but also as part of our Employee Volunteering Days programme.

Olswang LLP offered The Food Chain pro bono legal and business development support. They also took part in a pilot of our corporate cookery classes in October 2012, and ensured we had a presence at several of their networking events.

Progressive Digital Media PLC chose The Food Chain as their Charity of the Year for 2013. They raised money all year round by holding bake sales, ‘duvet days’, quiz nights and a number of other unique fundraisers.

Dwell are ongoing supporters of The Food Chain, helping to cover the costs of our annual review printing and mail out, attending events and also providing office furniture and kitchen equipment for our new service hub.

Their members are: Locksmiths of Clapham, run by Richard; Locksmiths of Ealing, managed by Rachel; Locksmiths of Bromley, managed by David; Locksmiths of Chelsea, managed by Steve; and Locksmiths of Harrow, run by Simon.  Other members include Lionel at Locksmiths of Enfield, Stephen at Locksmiths of Richmond, Tony at Locksmiths of Twickenham and – serving customers in Central London – Roger at Locksmiths of Camden and Gary at Locksmiths of Islington.

Camset Print Solutions helped The Food Chain with a number of graphic design projects in 2015 for use in our internal and external communications.

Tate City  raised over £1,500 for their sponsored skydive in 2015 and have organised several office cake sale fundraisers to raise money.
