Anna is responsible for the overall management of The Food Chain and its services, making sure that everything runs smoothly day to day. Working with the Board of Trustees, she steers the charity’s strategic direction in order to achieve our charitable purpose, ensuring that the values and ethos of the organisation are guarded. Her main aim is to ensure that we continue to stay as true to our mission as we have since The Food Chain started in 1988 – to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives.
Anna leads the staff team and maintains close working relationships with everyone in The Food Chain community. You can find her at Eating Together every Wednesday, often providing one-to-one support for Service Users and trying to resist having a second helping of dessert.
After volunteering for five years, Anna made the transition to staff member at the end of October 2016. Her step into the Chief Executive role in November 2024 brings a wealth of experience built over years of involvement with a charity that she “fell in love with” from the very start.
