HIV Specialist Dietitian

Biography

Luke joined the staff team in September 2019 after starting as a volunteer back in 2017. As The Food Chain’s full time Dietitian, Luke conducts telephone Dietetic Assessments for every new Service User, giving tailored and individual nutrition advice along with determining which services are best suited for their needs. He work together with each Service User to create an achievable yet aspirational plan around diet and lifestyle.

Working at NHS band 6 equivalent, Luke is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the HIV Specialist group of the British Dietetic Association (BDA). As the first point of contact for everyone referred to our services, Luke’s aim is to ensure the services we offer are nutritionally beneficial, and to ensure that those referred receive a warm, supportive and welcoming introduction to The Food Chain.
