We sometimes need volunteers in our office to help with finances and any one off projects that may arise. Past projects have included performing data analysis on our grocery orders and promoting our Spring Office Picnic campaign to local businesses.
We hold various fundraising events and campaign throughout the year that requires the support of volunteer fundraisers. Here is a summary:
We always need bucket shakers and cake bakers! Throughout the year volunteers support our fundraising efforts by participating at station collections, selling cakes at community fairs, including or annual spot at The Actors Church at the Covent Garden May Fayre.
From March through to May every year, we hold our Spring Office Picnic Campaign where workers across the capital are encouraged to down tools, take a proper lunch break, bring in some homemade treats and donate the money they would have spent on a sandwich to The Food Chain.
World AIDS Day is on 1 December and we always require red ribbon sellers (or we can provide a collection box for your company to sell them at your workplace). Supporters are more than welcome to hold their own fundraising events; we’ll provide fundraising materials to get you going.
If you have experience of copy writing and editing, photography, design and web development then we’ll have a project for you! Communications volunteers support the creation of all Food Chain publications including our annual review and event materials. In the past volunteers have produced leaflets of our Christmas Hamper Donation Appeal and photographed our 25th anniversary event.
